Ryan’s VW Jetta 2 Door Custom
This is Ryan’s (one of us here at Boomers) car…in his spare time, he cut his VW Jetta in half and welded in a rear quarter panel from a VW GTI into where the rear doors used to be. But he didn’t stop there, he also swapped out the motor to a VR6. There’s more, he then supercharged it. This car is a great example of the kinds of custom work we are capable of here at Boomers. In this case, none of these parts are available, so he hand made almost everything. He wanted to keep the motor compartment clear of any plastic containers so he even turned the strut tower bar into a coolant reservoir. This new creation required new (non existent) parts, the hood prop struts and the interior panels couldn’t be found anywhere, as the car doesn’t exist in the parts world as it is a one of a kind. Ryan had to hand make all the interior panels. Continuing with design plan, he even went as far as to swap the steering wheel to a 2012, just to make it different. Check out the speakers, of course, they don’t come like that from the factory. Like many other parts on this car they were all hand made.
