Honda traces its beginnings back to 1947 when they produced their first bicycle engine. In 1959 they established their first overseas presence in Los Angeles. It wasn’t until 1969 that they finally went from motorcycle products to automobiles with the Honda N600, and the Civic was introduced in 1973. Honda builds over 14 million combustion engines annually and is the largest manufacturer of them in the world. Honda also is credited as being the first to produce a four-wheel drive car with the Honda Prelude. Visit this Honda history site that has loads of pictures and great stories.
