Ferrari Custom Installations
This is our Ferrari Custom Installations page, but a little background first. Enzo Ferrari built his first car in Maranello in 1943. It was named the Tipo 815, and was the actual first Ferrari. He later built their first production car, the 125 Si in 1947. This car is often confused as the first Ferrari. His cars held many racing titles, in the 1960s, one of Ferrari’s strongest racing competitors was the Ford GT. What was interesting about this is that Ford was trying to purchase Ferrari in 1963. When Enzo stipulated that he be in charge of the Ford racing development team, Ford declined to make the purchase and went on to build his racing nemesis, the Ford GT Mark 2. Ferrari is currently owned by the Fiat group. (read history here).
Here is the story behind the Ferrari Logo spoken by Enzo himself “In ’23, I met Count Enrico Baracca, the hero’s father and then his mother, Countess Paolina, who said to me one day, ‘Ferrari, put my son’s prancing horse on your cars. It will bring you good luck.’ The horse was, and still is, black. And I added the canary-yellow background, which is the color of Modena” (Enzo’s birthplace).
